Title: Hate Story
Series: Not part of a series.
Nina can’t let herself fall in love with the man she’s going to marry. Both of them have experienced the sting and sham of love and have no intentions of falling victim to it twice. Love is expensive—hate is free.
Three years. A million dollars. A solution to both of their problems. They planned it all, from the story of their first meeting to the date of their divorce. Nothing could go wrong.
But what they didn’t consider was chemistry, and Nina and Max have no shortage of it. After too many near-kisses, Nina convinces herself that hating Max is better than loving him, and the more she gets to know this soon-to-be-husband of hers, the more she discovers just how very much she truly, madly, and deeply . . . hates him.
This isn’t a love story. This is the other kind.
I absolutely adored this book! It was a pleasant surprise! I’m pretty sure (but not a full 100% sure) that this is is the first book I’ve ever read by Nicole Williams, but it definitely will not be the last! No sir-ee!
I liked the whole premise of this book – I liked how opposite Nina and Max were, the reason they were getting married, their difference in circumstances. This whole plot and storyline was just so good. They is nothing bad or negative to say about it
I adored Nina. I loved how independent, feisty, and vulnerable Nina was. If I was a fictional character, I’d say that Nina would be pretty close to who I’d be! Nina was just so a-like to me. And maybe that’s why, she annoyed me slightly at the end. It’s something I could see myself doing, but also, aggravated me as well. I totally understood where Nina was coming from, but then I was like, ‘Come on! Get over it already!’ Nina is such a strong female character, and other than the ending she was a superb female lead.
Max. Sigh. There is not one, ONE, single thing I did not love about Max. I fell for this German-wannabe-American-citizen so hard! Like splat on the ground hard! He was just so dreamy. I cannot even put into words the awsome-ness that is Max, you just need to read him to get his full effect.
In conclusion, this book is amazing and a serious must-read guys! An amazing first read to kick of the year.
